1st House - Ascendant - Self Image

At the Ascendant, when having left the comfort and safety of your Mother’s womb, you birthed into physical existence and took your first independent breath

This first contact with life is the ‘EGO POINT‘, or exact degree of the Zodiac Sign Rising over the eastern horizon at the precise moment of your birth. It is specifically dependent on the exact time and latitude of the actual place of your birth. It symbolizes that a unique individual/spirit has incarnated into a particular universal energy pattern, at a specific moment in time. It’s the channel through which you comprehend your environment. It is the focus you bring into life. You dream life up, chose your birth time and then enact your dream. The labyrinth is of your own design, freely entered and although at times you may feel lost, it is also your way out.

While any planets in this region do to some extent define you they may also describe the effect your birth had on others. Information regarding your birth experience, and events from the environment that colored your perception of existence, and influenced the way you function as an adult is gleaned from this domain. If there was childhood trauma, these contact points often signify the event and the age it happened. Planetary energies located in the First House makes a very deep impact on your psyche. By co-relating data from this stage of life with other parts of your birth-chart, it is possible to reach a deeper understanding of how you were impacted by your early childhood circumstances and environment.

I love talking to myself, I do it so well, if I might say so myself. Unless of course one of me argues. In that case I’ll defer to whoever doesn’t.
